Doors Open
John J. Delp enters the life insurance business and our 60 year journey begins.
- 1970
A New Name
John Delp forms The John J. Delp Company servicing individuals and families in Northwest Ohio.
- 1986
Cleves Delp Joins the Family Business
Cleves, the youngest son of John Delp, joins the family business learning life insurance best practices from his father.
- 1989-1993
Cleves Delp Recognized
Cleves Delp starts a run of five straight years being recognized as Agent of the Year by the Alexander J. Hamilton insurance company.
- 2003
New Building Dedication
Doors are opened to a brand new 24,000 square foot office building in Maumee, Ohio. The building was dedicated on Independence Day in 2003.
- 2006
Tyler Horning Joins TDC
Current TDC Life President, Tyler Horning, joins our team. We also form the Exclusive Marketing Organization (EMO) producer group paving the way for a national network of high-end producers to join together and obtain better products and service directly from carriers for their clients. The EMO went on to become the foundation for Lion Street.

Firm Rebrand
Official rebrand to the firm name TDC Life.
- 2011
Lion Street is Born
The EMO rebrands and relaunches under the name Lion Street. Cleves Delp and Tyler Horning become founding members and board members of Lion Street, a national producer group serving the best and brightest of the high-end life insurance industry.

TDC Featured In Life Insurance Selling Magazine
TDC Life and Cleves Delp are featured in the June edition of Life Insurance magazine, highlighting TDC’s innovative strategies and approach to growing its business and empowering team members.
- 2014
Lion Street Top Producer
TDC Life named Lion Street’s top producing firm amongst a member group of over 100 firms nationwide.
- 2015
TDC Topples the $5B Death Benefit Mark
TDC surpasses $5 Billion in managed life insurance death benefits. Today, we are proud to serve and manage on over $9B of life insurance death benefits. In 2015, TDC was also again named Lion Street’s top producing firm.
- 2018
We’re Expanding!
Development of a 28,000 sq. foot expansion on existing office. TDC also the first to partner with Herman Miller on a revolutionary “Living Office” concept changing the way we work and service our customers.

TDC Establishes ReNew Life
TDC creates ReNew Life, a new TDC Life entity focused on providing life insurance exit strategy services led by John Cates.
- 2021
TDC Establishes Legacy Giving
TDC creates Legacy Giving, a new TDC entity dedicated to helping philanthropic organizations and nonprofits leverage large gifts of life insurance to meet their donor goals.
- 2022
TDC a Top Producing Lion Street Firm…Again.
Since Lion Street’s establishment in 2011, TDC Life has been a top 5 producing firm each year. 2021 was no different and we are proud of our team for the consistency and commitment to greatness each year.
