Director of Business Development

Reports To:  Operations Manager

Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Develop, document and manage business development process
  • Identify, research and qualify potential Centers of Influence (COI)
  • Develop and maintain relationships with current and new COIs
  • Manage/track COI activity
  • Educate COIs on TDC Life values, philosophy, services and process
  • Plan and implement events/webinars/communications for all COIs
  • Create and track 90-day plans with COIs
  • Generate new opportunities from COIs
  • Transition new opportunities from COIs to TDC Life advisors


General Support

  • Update company CRM database
  • Participate in team meetings and offer suggestions for improvement to workflows and procedures
  • Adhere to firm’s compliance policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned


Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • College degree
  • Experienced networker
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity working with CPAs, Attorney, Business Managers and Charitable Organizations
  • Understanding of high net worth (HNW) clientele needs
  • Understanding of Life Insurance and Risk Management Industry
